Promo codes
A promo code gives buyers a discount at checkout. You choose how big the discount is, how many times it can be used, and which items it applies to.Create a promo code
1
Open Promo Codes
Go to Edit Event → Promo Codes & Fees and open the Promo Codes tab. Click Add Promo Code.
2
Enter the code
Type the Promo Code buyers will enter, between 2 and 50 characters. Codes are saved in uppercase.
3
Set the discount
Choose a Discount Type — Percentage or Fixed Amount — and enter the Discount Amount.A fixed amount comes off each item line in the cart, not each unit. A $5 code on an order of three of the same ticket takes $5 off that line, not $15.
4
Limit how many times it can be used
Enter a Usage Limit, or leave it empty for Unlimited.
5
Choose the qualifying items
Under Qualifying Items, keep Apply to all items on, or turn it off and pick the specific tickets, tables, and add-ons the code works for.
6
Set the status and save
Set Status to Active (available at checkout) or Inactive (not available). Click Create Promo Code.
Promo codes don’t have start or end dates. To end a promotion, set the code to Inactive.
Edit or delete a promo code
Click a code to edit it. Once a code has been used, you can’t change the code itself, its discount, or its qualifying items. You can still change its status, and raise or lower the usage limit as long as it’s not below the number of times it’s already been used. To delete a code, open it and click Delete Promo Code. A code that’s already been used isn’t removed; it’s set to Inactive instead.Custom fees
Custom fees are your own charges added at checkout on top of the item price, such as a facility fee.1
Open Custom Fees
Go to Edit Event → Promo Codes & Fees, open the Custom Fees tab, and click Add Fee.
2
Name the fee
Enter a Fee Name. Buyers see it at checkout.
3
Choose the fee type and amount
Pick a Fee Type — Fixed amount per item or Percentage of each item — and enter the Amount.
4
Choose who pays it
Under Apply To, choose Everyone, Attendees Only (ticket buyers), or Vendors Only (table buyers). Click Create Fee.
- Per item. A fee applies to every ticket, table, or add-on in the checkout it covers, after any promo code discount.
- Always paid by the buyer. Absorb Treasure Fees? doesn’t cover custom fees.
- Included in Treasure’s percentage. Treasure’s service fee percentage applies to the item price plus your custom fees.
Checkout questions
Checkout questions let you ask attendees for information when they buy tickets, such as T-shirt size or how they heard about your event. They only appear on ticket checkout. To ask vendors questions, use the vendor application.1
