Treasure Hunt connects collectors with the vendors at a show. Attendees browse what vendors brought, request cards they can’t find, and get told when a wishlist card is in the room. Vendors list their inventory, answer requests, and record the deals they make. Treasure Hunt runs in the Treasure Events app in attendee and vendor mode.

Who can take part

  • Attendees: anyone with a ticket to the event. Guests without a Treasure ticket, such as people who paid at the door, can join by scanning the host’s Treasure Hunt Check-in QR during the event.
  • Vendors: accepted vendors at the event.
Card requests open 10 days before the event starts and close when the event ends.

For attendees

Browse cards at the event

Open the event in the app and scroll to Treasure Hunt. Use Search this event’s cards to search listings from every vendor at the show. Tap a card to see which vendors have it, and message them to set up the deal.

Request a card

If you can’t find a card, ask the room for it.
  1. Tap Request Card on the event, or tap Request a card from the quick actions in your Inventory tab and pick the event.
  2. Search for the card and choose it.
  3. Optionally add a Note for vendors, and turn on Add to my wishlist to keep hunting for it at future shows.
  4. Send the request.
Every vendor at the event sees your request. When a vendor says they have it, you’re notified and can message them. A request is for one copy. You can have one open request per card at an event, and you can cancel it at any time with Cancel request. To request an item a vendor lists themselves, such as merch or sealed product, open that vendor’s booth and request the item. Only that vendor sees it.

Get matched to your wishlist

Add cards to your Wishlist in the Inventory tab. When a vendor at a show you’re attending has a wishlist card, the event shows A wishlist card is here. Open Your Hunt to see which vendors have your wishlist cards.

For vendors

List your inventory

In the Inventory tab, add cards to your Collection: tap Add Item to search for a card or add a custom item, or Scan a card to add it with your camera. You can also import cards from DeckTradr or a CSV file. Mark the cards you’re selling as Listed for sale. Listed cards are visible to attendees at your events. Cards marked Not for sale stay hidden.

Answer card requests

At an event, Requests from attendees lists the cards attendees are looking for. For each request, tap I have it to offer one from your inventory, or pass. The attendee is notified and can message you to pick it up. If a request is for one of your own custom items, it comes straight to you. If you can’t fill it, tap Release to cancel it so the attendee can look elsewhere.

Record transactions

When a deal happens, record it so both sides have a receipt.
  1. In the Inventory tab, tap Add Transaction, or record it from the request it fulfills.
  2. Add the cards or items that changed hands and their prices.
  3. Choose how you paid or were paid.
The other side sees your record as a suggested transaction. They can Confirm it, record their own version, or mark it No transaction if the deal didn’t happen. Treasure reminds you about deals you haven’t recorded yet. Your Transactions in the Inventory tab keep a running history of what you bought and sold.

Notifications

Treasure Hunt alerts include vendor offers, transaction updates, and reminders to record transactions. Card request and event reminders are push-only, so allow notifications in the app. Manage them under Treasure Hunt in your notification settings.

For hosts

Treasure Hunt is on by default. To turn parts of it off, open your event on the web and go to Tables → Vendor Settings:
  • Hide Card Listings? hides vendor card listings from the event page, so attendees can’t browse cards or see cards matched from their wishlist.
  • Hide Attendee Requests? stops attendees from making card requests to vendors.
To let walk-in guests join, show the Treasure Hunt Check-in QR at the door. Find it on your event in the app, or download it from Social Media → QR Codes on the web. See Check-in.
