# Add team members and manage roles on your event

> Invite cohosts, staff, and scanners to your event by email or phone. Each role has a defined set of permissions to match what they need to do.

Treasure lets you build a team around each event. You can invite people with different roles — from a co-organizer who helps manage everything, to a volunteer who only needs to scan tickets at the door. Invites are sent by email or SMS, and team members accept before they gain access.

## Team roles

Each role has a specific set of permissions. The table below shows what each role can do:

| Role        | Description                                                                                                |
| ----------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Host** | Full control over the event, including billing and deletion. Fees are calculated based on the Host's plan. |
| **Co-host** | Same permissions as Host except cannot delete the event. Co-hosts appear publicly on the event page. |
| **Staff** | Can manage vendors, view applications, and check in attendees. Does not appear on the event page. |
| **Scanner** | Access to the attendee check-in tool only. Use this role for volunteers or door staff. |

<Note>
  The Host role is assigned to the account that created the event. You can invite Co-hosts, Staff, and Scanners — you cannot transfer the Host role to another user.
</Note>
