# Promote your event with social media tools

> Make Instagram story images, vendor spotlight and lineup posts, review vendor stories, and print QR codes for tickets, tables, and your venue map.

The **Social Media** tools help you promote your event and point people to it on the day. In your event dashboard sidebar, expand **Event Tools** and select **Social Media**. The page has five tabs:

| Tab | What it's for |
| - | - |
| **Instagram Story** | A story image built from your event poster |
| **Vendor Templates** | Posts that feature your vendors |
| **Vendor Stories** | Review the stories vendors post on your event page |
| **Embed** | Put checkout, applications, or your map on your website. See [Embeds](https://docs.ontreasure.com/features/embeds.md). |
| **QR Codes** | Print codes for the door, tables, and signs |

## Make an Instagram story

The **Instagram Story** tab builds a story-sized image from your event poster, name, dates, and tags. Adjust the gradient **Direction** and strength, pick colors **From poster**, and choose which **Tags** to show. Then download the image and post it to Instagram.

## Feature your vendors

On the **Vendor Templates** tab, choose a **Template type**:

* **Lineup post**: one image featuring several vendors together.
* **Per-vendor posts**: one image for each vendor.

**1. Pick a background**

Upload or generate a background image for the post.

**2. Add cutouts**

Add a cutout for each vendor photo, choose a **Circle** or **Square** shape, and size and place it. For a lineup post, assign a vendor to each cutout. For per-vendor posts, choose whether to **Show vendor name on template**.

**3. Save and download**

Click **Save template**, then download the image. For per-vendor posts, select vendors to download all their images at once.

To let vendors share their own spotlight, turn on **Allow vendors to download** under **Vendor access**. Vendors can then download their version from their tables page.

## Review vendor stories

Vendors at your event can post photo and video stories to your event page. The **Vendor Stories** tab shows stories that are **Pending** your review and those that are **Active**.

* Approve or deny each pending story.
* Remove an active story at any time.
* Turn on **Pause Stories** to stop new stories from going live without review. While paused, only vendors you mark **Trusted** can post without approval.
* While stories aren't paused, turn on **Review** for a vendor to require approval for just that vendor.

## Print QR codes

The **QR Codes** tab makes codes you can print for your door, tables, and signs. Each one opens a page of your event on the attendee's phone.

| Code | Opens |
| - | - |
| **Tickets** | Your ticket checkout |
| **Tables** | Your vendor table application |
| **Find any card at this show** | Treasure Hunt check-in, for guests without a Treasure ticket. See [Treasure Hunt](https://docs.ontreasure.com/features/treasure-hunt.md). |
| **Venue map** | Your venue map, once it's public |
| One code per vendor tag | Your venue map filtered to vendors with that tag, for signs in each section of the floor |

Use **Customize** to change the **Style** (**Square** or **Rounded**), code and background colors, white space, image size (512, 1024, or 2048 pixels), and to add your logo. The page warns you if the colors are too close for phones to scan.

Click **Download** on a code to save it as an image, or copy its link. To get every venue map code at once, use **Download all**.
